Surrey Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP) survey
This is a local survey for locals only. Unless you walk or ride the local area too!
This week I was contacted by a representative on behalf of Surrey County Council to highlight an online survey that is currently taking place into Surrey’s Rights Of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP). I should also give a hat-tip to JR, who has also pointed this in our direction recently.
A Plan is required of any council responsible for rights of way. There are many miles of these paths and trails in Surrey, not just across the Surrey Hills.
The intention is to set out how rights of way meet the needs of the public both now and into the future.
The Surrey County Council rights of way survey is open until the 10th of March 2024. The survey is looking for input from members of the public who currently use Surrey’s rights of way. We use them all the time so are pretty much the target audience.
That’s not all. If you don’t use the rights of way they also want your input – what currently prevents you and what might be needed to support access. I know my audience, so will say I don’t think a valid response is ‘need a new bike’!
If you can spare a few minutes of your time (you can save and return if need be), I think it’s worth making our views known.
