Ride report: Wednesday 11 January – boil in the bag?
It’s as dry as summer (mostly) so it was time for a summer route on Wednesday’s night ride!
Wedesday 7th December – Hill climb records?
The winter was definitely being to settle in as we met at Hylands Garage this wednesday. Huddling against the stif cold wind was a group consisting of Darren (not loving his 80mm winter bike!) Amanda, Kevin, BigAl (on the “Do you have to strap this down to stop it floating off?” Ibis Tranny SS), JohnR, JonH, Lloyd (beating the traffic to […]
Ride Sunday 4th of December – Socialising in the Surrey hills
It was a “select” group that met up this morning at the Bocketts Farm car park. Kevin, Karl, a somewhat under the weather DaveC and myself. Maybe the it was the lack of e-mails prior to the ride or the proximity to Xmas but the 14-15 rider groups of the previous few weeks didn’t appear. Nor the MWB AWOL Matt […]
Ride report: Sunday 13 November – is it really mid November?
With Matt once again not being out it’s down to me for the Krypton Factor challenge of remembering everyone who was out this Sunday. So with apologies for those missed. A glorious morning – can it really be mid November? – saw another big group of Barrie, Kev, Karl, JohnR, JohnH, BigAl, DaveC, new rider (another) Matt, DaveS, MarkW, Jez […]
Wednesday the 9th – no banana was hurt in the making of this ride
With the evening staying fair the turnout on Wednesday was a little higher than recent rides with Five moles meeting up at the Hylands garage. Lloyd, JohnR, Kev, Matt and Olly. The more observant of will note at this point that my name wasn’t on that list.
Remember, remember the …err…Sunday 6th of November.
With a few post Bonfire night hangovers, a group of Moles consisting of DaveC, JohnR, Lloyd, BigAl, RayK, JohnH, The “Tandemists” (Amanda and Darren), Robin, Barrie met up last Sunday morning. There were no serious JRPM factors to contend with so we set off promptly with a vague plan to head over to Peaslake
18th October : Tweaking a Tranny’s nipples in the woods.
A group of 11 moles met just outside Hindhead on Sunday morning for a gentle ride in leafy Hampshire. Sorry for the incomplete list but as I remember it was MarkyMark (married to a saint), Wob, Ray, RetroSteve, Clive, Karl, Kev, BigAl (ss), Jon, D-dub (ss). D’Andy couldn’t make it since he’d had the cycling version of a castrastion – going to […]
Rides – 4th September – the last morning of summer?
“Change is as good as a rest”. The Mole Forum agreed and the sunday ride de-camped to Bracknell to ride the trail-fest that is the Swinley Forest. Pulling up to the Lookout car park a mottley group of moles were waiting for an early off. Steve (our guide for the day), Tommo (wrong bike again!), DaveC, The D’Andies, D-dub (on his […]
London-Surrey Classic road race – shortest Mole ride of the year
If any of you live the SW london area you’d be hard pressed not to notice that we just had the biggest Olympics trial event and biggest cycle race in the UK (this year) last weekend. Since it was only coming a mile past the house it was too good an opportunity to miss seeing world class cyclists.
Wednesday 28th July, short but sweet
It’s been ages since I was out on a Wednesday night ride but working from home this wednesday and with the weather being great it was time to get out and dust off the lights.
