Sperm bikes – yes, really

Danish BULLITT sperm bike

OK, I’ll admit I couldn’t help posting this.

I’m trying desperately to avoid the sniggers but it seems that some fertility clinics – of which the Seattle Sperm Bank is just the latest of, er, several – are now delivery sperm using specially adapted cargo bikes which carry their precious cargo at temperatures as low as -150°C in special nitrogen cooled tanks.

Ironically, the cargo bike’s name is BULLITT (built by a Danish manufacturer – Larry vs. Harry) which gives a whole new meaning to the notion of firing blanks!

Read more on Bikemagic where I shamelessly nicked this pic from!

Thanks for reading,
Matt

Disconcertingly, I think we’ve found Dave’s next niche bike while at the same time discovering what he gets up to in his garage!!

Disconcertingly, going to IVF conferences alot, this is very tasteful. The Calfornia Cryobank thick yoghurt drink in a small sperm shaped container was a “taste” low point. I didn’t see many guys drinking them at conferences.

You can imagine that ‘sperm drink’ idea was dreamt up in the bar after a few beers. The sort of planning that sounds like a good idea at the time; amazed they ran with it when sober.
