13th of August – remebering how to night ride

Blimey two Moles rides in a week – it’s been a while! After the blast of last Sundays mudfest I thought that a follow up Wednesday night ride would be a good alternative so I dusted off the MTB lights, charged the batteries, dragged the newly returned from loan Pronghorn HT from the garage and posted up a ride on […]

10th of August Moles Ride. Tropical cycling?

After a flurry of MTFU e-mails a small select group of Moles met up at Bocketts car park. MTFU? Well the headlines of storms caused by the tail end of Hurricane/Tropical storm/Atlantic depression/heavy clouds (take your pick depending on your media outlet) Bertha meant the lure of the duvet was strong for many moles. They missed a great ride.

A dry(ish) week on Ranmore

I was lucky to get three great evening rides in this week, on three different bikes. Although we had a fair bit of rain on Monday night, the trails were still running very nicely, and on the last ride (Thu evening) I was eating dust.

QECP Trail Collective Enduro – 27 July 2014

How do the guys at QECP do it? I’m talking about the hotline to the weather gods that ensured we had a baking hot race on Sunday

Moles in the woods

Ride report: Sunday 13 July – Pure XC

As the week has moved on, bringing with it baking sunshine and hot, dusty trails, it seems unlikely that last Sunday morning I was looking out the window wondering if I might have to invoke the Rain Clause. In the end, I’m very glad I didn’t.

Sunday single speed spin skips Shere and goes to Peaslake (avoiding alliterative titles)

A combination of Saturday’s rain and Sunday being Fathers Day resulted in me having a last minute change of plan to join three other single-speeding Moles

Cafe Domestique Window

Domestique Cycle Cafe (and weekly ride summary)

I suspect many of you will be surprised that it’s me that’s made the first ‘reported’ visit to the Domestique Cycle Café, newly opened in Bookham.

Ride Report – Sunday 1st June – Reigate and Epsom Downs

With Matt doing his Lord Lucan and other Moles engaged in Secret Ops there were just 4 Moles that made the ride this week.

Moles at Newlands Corner

Ride report: Sunday 18 May – all in the wrist

Yesterday was dry and just the right side of comfortable, especially at the pace we were going, which was forward motion in a civilised stylee, albeit with a rather abrupt end…

Friday slacking

Given the damp forecast for the week-end, who can blame us for taking ‘a little bit’ out of the working day and enjoying the reasonably dry trails?  Apologies to those who were stuck in their offices, but we have all been there, honest!  Running a little late, I was already ‘cream crackered’ by the time we met Jonesy and Batbling […]
