Guardian publishes ‘best UK trails’ map

Just a quick one here. As you can tell by the title, the Guardian newspaper has published a Google map titled The Guardian Guide to British Mountain Bike Trails.

All well and good, seems reasonably well put together but I’m not sure if I’m that happy to have Barry Knows Best bigged up for the whole country. Is this a bit Not In My Back Yard? The route description actually covers pretty well what we’d do on a Sunday ride so no complaints there.

I don’t want to sound selfish and I’m all for getting people out on the Hills but I just have mixed feelings that’s all. Of course, it does underline again how lucky we are to live in this neck of the woods doesn’t it? Share and share alike I guess…

Thanks for reading,
Matt
