Kinesis Tripster AT launched

Well this is a lovely looking bike isn’t it? Introducing the Tripster AT.

I’ve written before about the attraction of so-called adventure bikes, covering the Mason Bokeh which remains an object of lust to me. Now Kinesis have launched their take on the genre, the Tripster AT which comes in at a much more affordable price point.

It is based on their Tripster ATR Ti which has been out for a while, at least in terms of geometry. That means a 70.5° head angle and a long wheelbase of around 1038mm. It has bolt through axles at both ends, internal cable routing and clearance for 45mm tyres on 700c rims (40mm with full mudguards) or the option of 52mm tyres on 650b rims. So ride it wherever you want, on or off-road on anything that counts as cross country, in a configuration that suits your tastes.

Looking at the Seeon fluoro yellow, this is very likely to be my next commuter, or at least is near the top of my list. Mind you, the Arran blue looks pretty good too…
